Hi all & happy Friday! This week, we bring you a major update for Android:

\- **Chinese Tone Training** is out in beta!

If you've ever felt like your lack of "tone perception" is holding you back, give Tone Training a try! It has:

\- **five units** of back-to-back **listening exercises** (some basic, some pretty tricky!);
\- **pronunciation assessment** that breaks your recordings down to **tones**, **initials**, and **finals** to let you know exactly what area(s) you need to work on;
\- clear explanations of **pronunciation rules**, including tone changes (**tone sandhi**);
\- a **big** **test** at the end;
\- and cute animated deer! 🦌

We recommend you start at the beginning (**Tone Basics**) and work your way down without skipping anything. Please let us know your thoughts: what you like, what exercises you find most useful, and what can be improved!

Remember that you can always reach us by email at [blog@lingodeer.com](mailto:blog@lingodeer.com) and [blog@lingodeer.com](mailto:blog@lingodeer.com), via the Contact Us form in the app, on Discord, or on our official subreddit r/lingodeer :)

Happy learning!
