Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing great.
We have an update this week that Mandarin learners will find super helpful! A brand-new handwriting practice is now available in beta for Chinese courses on Android. You can now practice writing every character from each lesson.
Just open a finished lesson and tap “Practice – Handwriting” in the pop-up.
There are three modes you can choose from:
- With stroke order hints (great for beginners)
- Without hints (a little tougher!)
- Freestyle: a blank canvas for your writing skills. If you draw a stroke wrong, we’ll gently show you the right one.
It’s currently in beta, so we’d really love your feedback. Try it out and let us know how it feels: smooth? tricky? oddly satisfying?

I tried this feature and love it. However, since yesterday, when I select this option the app stops (not all lessons, but the most) and ask for reboot.
Problem solved, thank you. It runs smoothly again.
