Weekly #DevLog /June 27

Hi all! Can’t believe it’s Friday already… This week, we mainly fixed some Android bugs:

– Adjusted progress-saving in offline mode;

– Adjusted German and Arabic phrasing for Streak Shields;

Optimized tiles by word length for Japanese;

– Fixed the issue with the profile pictures (now you can change it on your first try, and the old one won’t come back to haunt you… we hope);

– Fixed the bug in Korean sentence spelling exercises where it wouldn’t underline the things you got wrong, right;

– Optimized a bunch of vocab exercises across all languages.

Currently working on:

– Finishing stages of iOS UI testing (need more time to make sure everything runs smoothly on iPad);

SRS adjustments;

– A little something for the Japanese course (if we’re lucky it’ll trickle down to other courses as well). Here’s a sneak peek:

Before anyone accuses us of using AI: this is our living, breathing, flesh-and-blood Japanese contributor A. showing off her impeccable articulation in front of her preferred background: a clear white wall...

Thank you all for your support, patience, and bug reports! If you have any questions and/or suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out by email at hi@lingodeer.com and support@lingodeer.com, via the Contact Us form in the app, or on our official subreddit 🙂

Happy learning!
